Explore Burnaby
Burnaby sits in the middle of Metro Vancouver — the region’s biggest mall, four SkyTrain town centres, lakes and trails, and detached-home value you can’t touch in Vancouver. It’s a city of commuters, new Canadians, and young families, and nearly every corner of it rides the SkyTrain. Here’s where to look.

Metrotown
Burnaby's downtown. Metropolis at Metrotown is the largest mall in BC and the third-largest in Canada — 450 stores and 27 million visits a year — wrapped in a forest of new condo towers around the SkyTrain's second-busiest station. Central Park's trails, pitch-and-putt, and green space are right next door. The region's condo capital: full urban life without the Vancouver price tag.

Brentwood
Burnaby's boomtown. A decade ago it was a quiet residential neighbourhood; today it's SHAPE's The Amazing Brentwood — a cluster of new residential towers above a reimagined town centre of shops, restaurants, and plazas, wrapped around the Brentwood Town Centre SkyTrain station. The buyer mix skews young: first-timers, professionals, and investors chasing the growth story. Ten minutes to downtown Vancouver by train, and the neighbourhood is still rising.

Burnaby Heights
North Burnaby's village street. The Heights along Hastings Street is a walkable stretch of independent coffee shops, bakeries, and bookstores — and one of Metro Vancouver's great Italian eating strips, from Anton's Pasta Bar's famously oversized plates to Cioffi's old-world deli. The housing is character homes and low-rise apartments; the community vibe is strong. Village charm, a straight run down Hastings to downtown, and Burnaby prices.

Edmonds
Burnaby's original downtown, becoming a downtown again. The first City Hall still stands on Kingsway — but the city's new Edmonds community plan is adding towers around the Edmonds SkyTrain station and the Highgate Village shopping district. It's one of Burnaby's most diverse, multicultural neighbourhoods, with some of the best condo value on the Expo Line. Affordable, well-connected, and on the way up.

Capitol Hill
The view neighbourhood. Capitol Hill climbs 200 metres above the water, and the higher you go the bigger the prize: sweeping views of downtown Vancouver, Burrard Inlet, and the North Shore mountains — locals gather at the little reservoir park for sunsets. Mostly single-family homes on quiet, established streets, with a strong Italian, Portuguese, and Croatian character. Peaceful and residential, yet minutes to The Heights' shops and the Brentwood SkyTrain.

Lougheed
Where the region meets. Lougheed Town Centre station is the one place in Burnaby served by both SkyTrain lines, and SHAPE is turning the old 1969 mall into The City of Lougheed — a 37-acre master plan of 20+ towers, new shops and restaurants, and five acres of park. Buy here and you're in at the start of Burnaby's next big town centre. New-build condos priced well below Metrotown, with Coquitlam, New West, and Vancouver all an easy ride away.
